The room was not clean and smelled of cat urine. We left after our first night staying only because we got in town so late. I would not suggest single female travelers or families staying here as it did not seem like a safe place.
the only thing we liked is that we were on the bottom floor next to the security guards room
we did not like all the people that seemd to linger around outside....we felt it was not one of the safest places
The room was clean.
The location is between an industrial cleaning supply and low rent/vacant plaza. There was a fellow working on his car all Monday and another guy standing in the doorway of his room singing. The singing wasnt so bad untill he started to simg me questions and make statements like "you dont trust me". Our door was dented and bent. Didnt feel safe.
There wasn't much to like about the hotel. It had a kitchenette that we ended up not using, which was about the only thing I can't complain about. It kept my babys' bottles cold.
We checked in to our room about 10 o'clock Friday night so by the time we got something to eat and came back to our room it was well past11. Our room was roasting hot and the air conditioner no longer worked. I probably got about an hours sleep and took showers throughout the night to keep cool. I reported it to the emergency number but they said they would take a look at it after 9 in the morning when they opened. The following morning they somewhat fixed the A.C. but still wasn't as cold as we would've like it.
Savannah Suites Savannah is worth for the money they charge and helpers are Lovely . Myself and my family enjoyed and we will keep it in mind
Good bed cold refrlildgertor
automated call in phone system
The parking spaces were convenient. If it had been cleaner it would have been comfortable and homey.
Room was extremely dirty..floors and surfaces were sticky and we found chicken bones from previous guests food behind the nightstand. Also, the area felt unsafe.
The front desk clerk was very friendly!!
Well, I guess the old say, "you get what you pay for" is true here.. The air conditioner was hardly working, We sweated all night and they said they would get it fixed, but the next night it still was not fixed. The showers were dirty and the room had a bad smell..
smoke filled air, burn in bedspread, remote didn't work, no one at desk when I went to front. dirty.
The mattress that I slept on I could feel the springs which wasn't comfortable, house cleaning didn't come to our house to empty the trash or make the beds. The rooms in person dont look anything like the pictures. One washcloth i saw that was supposed to be clean had pubic hairs on it. I will never stay at this hotel again
Nothing it was terrible I hated it I can not believe that you guys have not been shut down..i traveled all the way from florida to reach your hotel and thought id be gettin a good nights rest...wrong the air conditioner didnt work....no coffee pot or dishes...i wasted money on coffee n food and couldnt use them.the worst part of it was the bed it looked like something you picked off the side of the road it was hard as a board and I got stuck in the leg by a spring all night...i was pissed so bad I didnt stay there the next night I had to find another hotel.the floor got soaked when u took a shower and the toilet keep over flowing....i really thought I was being punked!!!!!!!!!do yourself a favor and shut this hell hole down....i wouldnt even bring a nasty ol prostitute there....the neighborhood is pretty much all filled with prostitutes and drug dealers... I mean dont you guys check these hotels out??????i was discusted.....take a bow thanks for ruining my first night in savannah....theresa c
Nothing - I do not understand how the Cityof Savannah or anyone else would allow such a moteltoremainopen. This place is a bottomlesspit.
The room had the worst oder!!! Nasty service rude and the halls smelled like someone pissed in them! The bed was so nasty I could not sleep in it! Do not stay here the staff is rude! The hotel is just plan nasty! Nasty... Better off sleeping in your car!
I will never stay here again! Its so nasty and the staff is so rude!
It was the worst place I have ever stayed, and I have traveled a lot! We stayed there because the Savannah hostel was closed for renovations. I should have believed all the terrible reviews I'd read. There was a large stain on the sheet. The room stank like cigarettes and wet dog, though I was told it wasn't a smoking room. They came and sprayed air freshener, but that made me cough. The shower splashed out onto the floor despite the shower curtain. We were given tiny "bath" towels and no floor towel to sop up the flood from the shower. The hot/ cold knob was backward. You had to turn it all the way up to cold to get hot water. The rubbery black bathroom floor made me wonder if it was that color to mask the dirt. What hotel has no ice machine? Every hostel I've ever stayed in was cleaner and nicer than this place - and cheaper. There was fridge that worked and a dirty (stained?) microwave. I would never stay here again.
The cost of the room was the ONLY thing I liked about the hotel.
1. The entry door rattled when locked. 2. The bathroom had a small shower stall only, no tub. 3. Paint was peeling from the bathroom walls. 4. The bed was too soft. 5. The office was not open at the scheduled time for check-out.
